Ghosts n’ Goblins are coming for you tonight!

I have been intending to do Haunted Graveyard for Halloween since last year, but I was a little too busy to have a song ready then. When it showed up on the Patreon request list, I saw the perfect opportunity to both fulfill someones request and to find the determination to get this done.

If you’re not familiar with Ghosts ‘n Goblins, it’s an old side scroller from the 80’s that was originally an arcade game. It was notoriously for being hard as hell.

This is the theme for the first two levels of the game, and the most popular of the GnG songs. It’s seen a few different iterations over the years. My personal favorite is the Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts version, which as far as I know (I could be wrong) is the only version that has the intro that’s in this remix. Arthur also makes an appearance in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and this theme, in another badass form, accompanies him. This remix is sort of a combo of the MvC and Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts version.

Also fun to note, Haunted Graveyard makes an appearance in Mega Man 7 as an alternate theme for Shade Man.

So if you’re bored and feel like getting infuriated, go give Ghosts ‘n Goblins a try. Just remember to get the knife!
