Let’s get manic with our first Sonic Mania remake: Egg Reverie Zone!

For a final zone theme, this song isn’t as intense and chaotic as you might expect. It’s really quite chill. Then, at the very end of the original song (before the loop point), comes this crazy 16th note thing.

I almost didn’t do the vocal parts (the “bop! bop! a-yea-ey!” thing), but I decided the song wouldn’t be quite the same without it.

As an extra bonus, I threw the unused song Egg Reverie Zone (Pinch) for the final section. That’s when things truly get intense and chaotic. How this one didn’t make the cut is beyond me.

Sonic Mania has an amazing soundtrack and I’m sure I’ll be coming back to it. Until then!
