I always said I wouldn’t do anything from Final Fantasy VI until I felt I was ready. Dancing Mad was only 4 songs ago, but a combination of a ton of requests for Decisive Battle and just being in a FF6 mood led to this remix.

This remake is pretty heavy on the keys/synths/strings/etc. That’s just how I always heard it in my head. I really liked the way the bellish synth sounded on the intro part and the strings sounded on the climactic part.

Whenever I practice drums, this is one of my favorite songs to drum to. The verse part has a really interesting rhythm that I hear almost everyone change in remixes. It stays here during the 1st and half of the 3rd verse. I like it too much.

A long time ago, before GaMetal, I had an all synth version of this song. It was actually not half bad. If I can find it, maybe I’ll post it here sometime.

Not much else to say, I’m really happy with this one, it may be one of my favorites from this year. Maybe it will be for you too!
