It appeared several years ago in the first Sonic Fan Medley, now it’s back in full form: all 3 acts of Chaos Angel!

The first time I heard Chaos Angel was when it was requested for the aforementioned Sonic Fan Medley. I’ve been in love with it ever since. In fact, I feel it’s one of if not the best song from the GBA library.

It’s also one of the more difficult songs that I’ve done. There’s a lot of tricky fast patterns that get even harder once Act 3 rolls in, which is basically the same as Act 1 but on crack. Act 2 plays as the ‘calm before the storm’ middle piece, similar to how Phase 2 of Star Dream played out.

One of the main reasons I wanted to do this song was to get some more non-Genesis Sonic in the line up. I’ll be trying to get at least one more of those in this year, so stay tuned! 🙂
