With only a couple of weeks left in the year, we still managed to squeeze in one more Kirby tune: Revenge of the Enemy from Kirby Triple Deluxe. I had fully intended for my next Kirby song to be a different song, but this one snuck up on us by winning the latest Patreon request list drawing.

Revenge of the Enemy is the theme that plays during the first half of the Masked Dedede and Dark Meta Knight battles in Triple Deluxe, before you beat up on them and they go rage mode and their respective themes start playing instead. Because of this, I thought it’d be a neat idea to also wedge in the Masked Dedede and Dark Meta Knight themes as well, creating a triple remix of sorts.

The MDDD and DMK sections are based on my old remixes of the two songs. MDDD is more sped up here, and also includes a new solo. DMK is actually fairly similar to my 2015 version, and I also re-included the (second) guitar solo from it, since it’s one of my favorite solo’s I’ve created.

So next year is Kirby’s 25th anniversary. Kirby also happens to be one of my most popular remixed franchises. That means I’ll have to do something special… stay tuned!
