I’ve been getting requests to do The Binding of Isaac music for the longest… so what better time to do my first BoI song than Halloween? Here’s Matricide from The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth!

Also, since it’s Halloween and all, I decided to wear my work uniform in the video. Don’t question my process… just accept it.

There’s a few choices we could’ve gone with for a Binding of Isaac tune, but I went with something a bit less obvious than usual (totally not referring to My Innermost Apocalypse you guys). I really dug the rhythm lines in Matricide, so I thought it’d be an interesting cover to do.

Since the song doesn’t have much of a melody (the rhythm lines are practically the melody), I used the second half of the remix for a lengthy guitar solo. So for those wondering… where are the leads!?, don’t worry, they come. 🙂
